Silica Sand

Quartz grain based silica sand is the commonly found mineral on the earth’s surface.  It is composed of around 99% silicon dioxide. It remains insoluble in water and also in most of the organic solvents. Known for its chemical inertness, offered quartz sand does not react with other substances. Its fine grained particles are convenient to manipulate. Non toxic by content, it resists alkalis and acids. Due to its strong thermal attributes, it can absorb high temperature and energy. This specific aspect of silica sand makes it ideal material to make any structure thermally and acoustically insulated. Due to its high melting point, this range of sand is suitable to be used as refractory material.
